Hi there fellow crafters
I have decided to start a new series on my blog where I go back to basics and create some projects using simple stamping. Sometimes as crafters we can get carried away with all the products we have and tend to over complicate things which can put some people off trying to recreate our projects or start stamping as a new hobby.
This card uses only one colour of card apart from the Basic White and only one colour inkpad. The background panel of stamping has been created by stamping images once direct from the ink and then by stamping off on to scrap paper before stamping the next image. This is known as second generation stamping and creates a two tone effect.
The main image has been stamped on a smaller panel of whisper white and then has been layered onto some coloured card. The dimensions are as follows:
- Card Base:
- Early Espresso Card – 8-1/4″ x 5-7/8″ scored at 4-1/8″
- Card Front:
- Basic White Card – 5-1/2″ x 3-3/4″
- Early Espresso Card – 5-3/8″ x 3-5/8″
- Basic White Background Stamped Layer – 5-1/4″ x 3-1/2″
- Early Espresso Card – 4-1/8″ x 2-3/8″
- Basic White Main Stamped Panel – 4″ x 2-1/4″

- Inside of Card:
- Basic White Card – 5-1/2″ x 3-3/4″
All the products I use on my cards are available on my online shop. To go straight to this project in my shop, just click on the link below.

I really enjoyed going back to basics and working with minimal supplies. Watch out for my next simple stamping project next Sunday.
Thanks for stopping by.
