Global Design Project, Stampin Up

A Quiet Meadow with Blended Background

Hi there fellow crafters

Today I am bringing you a card inspired by a challenge I have taken part in set by the Global Design Project #GDP329. This is a colour challenge using colours I would not usually put together myself so it pushed me outside of my comfort zone and that is exactly my reason for taking part.

I tend to steer more towards the more muted and neutral tones so you can imagine, working with such bright vibrant colours didn’t come particularly easy. I decided to tone the brightness down slightly by creating a background with these colours using the blending brushes and then added a die cut from the Quiet Meadow dies set in black card to create a sillhouette. I am really pleased with how it turned out.

The dimensions of my card are as follows:

  • Card Base
  • Thick Basic White Card 5-7/8″ x 8-1/4″ scored at 4-1/8″
  • Card Front
  • Misty Moonlight Card 2-7/8″ x 4-5/8″
  • Basic White Card (Blended) 2-3/4″ x 4-1/2″
  • Black Card for die cut 2″ x 4-3/4″
  • Scrap of White and Scrap of Misty Moonlight for sentiment
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I hope you like this card. Why not check out all the other entries to this challenge by clicking on this link. Global Design Project
