Pootlers Design Team – Glampers Greetings – Week 1

pootlers-header-photo

I am extremely excited to announce that I have been selected to be part of the November Pootlers Design Team. As such I am required, along with four other team members, to submit projects I have made using a stamp set selected by Pootles, our “Team Mother”. This is the stamp set I was given! To be honest, I wasn’t exactly over the moon with the choice, this really wasn’t a set I had given a second look to in the catalogue. However, I have embraced the challenge and have surprised myself with the results.

And here is my first project…

I decided to break the stamp set down into the smaller elements rather than looking at it as a whole. The first image I was drawn to was the Christmas Tree and voila, A Christmas card and matching tag.

I did consider using another stamp set in my stash to add the sentiment but decided to stick with what was in the set and therefore used the rather American term “Happy Holiday” instead of our traditional “Merry Christmas”

I hope you like my first project and if you wish to purchase any of the products used, please click on the links below.

Thank you for stopping by and please come back next week to see if I have managed to come up with another project from this set.

    1. Thank you Tracy. To be honest I struggled at first but once I started I found more and more I wanted to do with it. I just think the caravan can put some people off a bit but if you look beyond that it’s quite a useful set. X

  1. I was pleasantly surprised with the gems you discovered in this stamp set and what you produced. You also taught us to open up our eyes and look away from the focal point to see all the possibilities a busy set like this has to offer. That’s what a knowledgeable demonstator does, and I thank you for sharing your project and your thoughts on how it happened! How refreshing to read such honesty.

    1. Thank you Donna for your lovely comments I really appreciate your feedback. I think it’s important to share that we all have doubts in our own abilities. Hopefully it encourages others to have a go at things they’re not entirely confident with too. X
