So here we are, butterflies are back in the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue and I am so chuffed. I cannot stop playing with this stamp and punch bundle so I decided to design my Class projects around this set.
This is a simple 4 x 6″ card using just a 1 inch strip of the Gingham Gala Paper layered onto another strip of Basic Black Card. This paper comes in a 6×6 pack and a little goes a long way so you could make 6 cards like this using one sheet of paper. The butterflies have been stamped in memento ink and coloured using Stampin Blends. The coordinating adhesive backed sequins are just gorgeous, they have an iridescent sheen which just give your card an extra little something.
My next project uses the remaining pieces of paper from the first card. It is a triangular box made from one sheet of cardstock.
I used the 2″ punch and the starburst punch to highlight the sentiment which is also from the Butterfly Gala Stamp set. It really is an awesome stamp set with three different patterned butterflies and some lovely sentiments.
My final card is a slightly more grungy style. I have stamped the butterflies on the cardbase using the tone on tone technique. The centre panel of this card was stamped using the Post Script Background Stamp. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed and then the card was finished using some black twine and adding a stamped and punched butterfly.
I really like making my supplies stretch as far as possible and these three projects used a very small amount of supplies.
