Pootlers Spring/Summer Blog Hop

Hello there

Welcome to our Pootlers Spring/Summer Team Blog Hop.

This time we are showcasing some of our favourite products from the new 2019 Spring/Summer Catalogue and I for one, cannot wait to see what my fellow Pootlers have come up with this time. They are all such a talented bunch of ladies.

I chose to work with the Butterfly Gala Bundle.

I mean, who doesn’t love a butterfly? We have been without our beloved butterfly punches for such a long time, I was absolutely over the moon to see a new Butterfly Stamp and Punch Bundle in this catalogue.

I created a flip top pizza style box with Highland Heather Cardstock and layered the top with the New coordinating Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper. I then die cut a Stitched Oval in Whisper White and layered that onto a slightly larger Scalloped Oval which I attached to the top of the box with dimensionals.

I stamped and coloured one of the beautiful butterflies in this new Stamp set and then punched it out with the coordinating punch. I then attached this to the top using a glue dot and added some self adhesive sequins that are also available in this suite.

I finished it all off with a dear little bow using some Highland Heather Ribbon which is available as a free item during Sale-A-Bration. We will be showcasing the free Sale-A-Bration products in another blog hop at the end of this month, so watch this space.

I hope you enjoyed my project and am sure you will be blown away by everyone else’s. Just click on the blue box below to be taken to the next Pootler in the Blog Hop.

Thanks for stopping by

  1. Hi, Debbie, This is a beautiful card, and the way you have photographed it too is very nice. Would love you to give me a few tips on photographing cards like this. xx

    1. Hi Rachel.  Thank you for your lovely comments. I don’t really do anything special to take my pictures. For these pictures I actually used a bit of wallpaper as a background and some plastic flowers from the pound shop. I just made sure I had my desk light shining just over the top and then used my Samsung S8 smartphone to take the picture. I then adjusted the white balance and cropped the picture using my phone’s gallery editor.  I hope this has been of some help to you and shows that you really don’t need any fancy and expensive equipment or any photographic skills to produce a half decent picture.  Thanks again. Xxx
